To meet current and future resident needs, Presbyterian Villages of Michigan retained Perkins Eastman to strategically reposition three of its campuses: The Village of East Harbor, The Village of Redford, and The Village of Westland. The team assessed existing buildings for programmatic deficiencies, studied local market conditions, and reviewed operational programs to determine the needs of each campus. As a result, Perkins Eastman provided architecture and interior design for new independent-living options at The Village of East Harbor. The developments include The St. Clair Condominiums, a 105-unit independent-living building, and Harbor Pointe Cottage Homes, 26 duplex and triplex villas. A town center on the first floor of the St. Clair Condominiums will include Bloom! wellness and fitness center with an aquatics center and indoor heated pool, multiple dining options (including casual and formal dining venues),  a private dining room for special occasions, and al fresco dining on the terrace and courtyard, library and reading room, and luxury movie theater.
